In combination with other members of the Karubian and Blum labs, I developed an hour-long workshop as part of the Tulane Girls in Science at program (GIST). Every semester, we engage with middle-school girls, leading them on a hunt around the Tulane campus where they utilize GPSes and radio telemetry to find animals and then collect data on data sheets that they create. To date, we have interacted with over 150 girls through this workshop!

In 2014, I co-led a workshop on bird coloration with kindergardeners from Kipp Believe at Tulane. I have also given presentations about my research and life as a field biologist to 5th graders in Davis, CA. During my masters, I gave a number of public presentations at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge on wading bird ecology in the Everglades.
